Nah -- IMHO the modern versions of the Good Humor trucks of old are all the fancy food trucks! [Hmm, wonder what you call a group of "food trucks"? A "tasting" of food trucks, perhaps? ]

Based upon the thread title I was expecting a little something more risqué. I suppose I will have to wait for the next Lionel catalog for that!

Well they are my ice cream trucks when it comes to stuff I really like!
Btw I found out about a guy in this area that has a huge layout not done and in 15 years has never opened a train package that has been shipped to him. His friend said he may have over 500 packages in his garage. He believes he will never open them. According to his friend its all top of the line 3 rail trains.
Wow! That is odd.

Dave I have come across a couple of guys like that and I agree it's very odd, but both of them are or were 2rail brass collectors and I think their stuff only came out of the boxes twice - on delivery and when the items were photographed years later for sale. I don't see the point of that unless you are happy just owning the models.
This is my idea of an ice cream truck (1/43 scale) although it is not that but rather an early version of a food truck only delivering Coca-Cola, probably as an advertising gimmick:
A worthy subject of 3rail O scale modelling that I know some people have done based on plastic kits/toys and of which a local hobby store used to have a whole collection is this vehicle that I have seen on the streets a couple of times, also as an advertisement:

Has that guy come up with a new investment strategy? If he sells all that boxed mint equipment, he may be able to retire in style.. Alfred

Alfred Well Alfred, I'm not sure that is a strategy, I think he could do much better in the stock market if that was his purpose in buying those trains, but you never know. Maybe if he ever gets his layout done we will find out. . Dave

The closest world be Philly or most colleges. Dave

Have you ever seen what goes on in the back of your average restaurant? Both food trucks and restaurants are subject to the same health department requirements and inspections, with IMHO about the same results . . .

There has been a bit of a food truck revival, at least around here. Some are very good. We have a coffee truck that comes to our office once a week and they have excellent coffee.

I drive that fourth vehicle (LLV) for a living and I've delivered trains for certain customers. I know on my routes who is a TCA member, who likes 1:1 trains, and who is a certain long-time columnist for Model Railroader.
