Has anyone added some form of command control, preferably TMCC, to Williams Scale steam engines i.e. Scale Hudson, Brass Niagara, etc.? It's been something I'd be interested in having done; I'm not that technically savvy when it comes to things like this so I'd need some advice as to which kit to purchase and if it's a simply "plug-n-play" or requires more work than it's worth. Thank you everyone.

Thank you everyone. Well there's only one kit for TMCC conversion and that's ERR from 3rdrail or one of 3rdrail's vendors Royz trains comes to mind. You will need to put the electronics in the tender, with a tether to the engine. Also your shell on the tender will need to be isolated from the frame to become the TMCC antenna. There are techs out there that can do the job if you are not comfortable with soldering running wires, etc, etc. I could do it but just to busy to take on additional work.

Thank you Gary, appreciate the feedback. I'll keep it conventional for now; definitely more than I can handle. I hear Blunami is getting popular so that could be another option in the future...

I've done a few of these for customers in years past. It's really simple project. The toughest part is CAREFULLY opening and then closing the engine. It only requires a ERR conversion kit , a multi wire (6 position) connector [2 for the motor; 1 for the pickup, 1 for ground -maybe, and then 1 (incandescent) or 2 (LED) for the headlight]. The only other trick is being sure to insulate the antenna (use the tender body) from the ground. Kapton Tape does the trick here.
If you can open the loco carefully, solder, and TAKE YOUR TIME it's not that tough.
