This may be my last TMCC Locomotive with a pulmore motor I bought in the year 2000!! When SF was looking to merge with the Southern Pacific they painted a locomotive in this merger scheme. In 1995 they finally merged with the BNSF. SO this paint scheme became a what if and in 2000 Lionel came out with this locomotive before their move to China!! It runs smooth and quiet. The sound unexpectedly very good. The start up sound at the beginning is quite amazing for the time. Dave

Closer looking and I think repaint as I seem to see a lighter blue where there are small chips in paint

The color looks slightly off, but that could just be the lighting. I have the same set in peacock that someone started a refurb on but never finished...it languishes in the project pile. I don't recall Lionel ever making the 332/339/341 series of cars with "New York Central" markings, but I could be wrong on that. The ones I have are marked "The Lionel Lines". The 341 I have is just a box of parts...someday I'll get around to reassembling it (hopefully). Here's a shot from the archives, this taken back in 2018, one of the 259E locos dragging a short string of 600-series coaches through the 305 bridge: This part of the layout has changed quite a bit in recent years, becoming far more cluttered in its current format. Still, it's the best place for pics, being a long straight framed by the bridge...lots of railfans are often found here.

Healy36 your probably right, as I did find but they were refurbished. My book only mentions Lionel Lines. But bottom line I like them and not worried about being perfectly accurate.

This little gem rolled into the Oblivion yards a couple of weeks ago - clockwork train by Modelcraft from India. The Box Cover and the contents Interesting bit of trivia - there's no railway in India with those initials however, the railroad designation for the Central station in Madras is MAS.

Regardless, rt, the set looks terrific...enjoy it! I’ll have to look for my set and get it back on the workbench schedule.

If you like it, that all the reason you need to acquire it. Its a beautiful set. I have many trains others dont like or it was never prototypical, but I do. Always have fun with what you have, never the things people think you should have!! Dave
