The Lionel 2037 is a 2-6-4, Hudsons are 4-6-4. I believe the 2037 is considered a Pacific steamer. Bill Technically, an Adriatic (2-6-4) by Whyte's notation, a wheel arrangement rarely, if ever, seen in the U. S.

This is from last year on my old layout. At present contemplating if I should keep or sell it and the passenger cars. Its a K Line and some say K Line Hudson was the best made.

I'd hold onto that K-Line Hudson. If you wish to replace it; today the prices of the Hudson locomotives by Lionel have "gone through the roof". They used to cost hundreds now they cost thousands.

I'm finding I'm running it less and less and considering using the money toward a SF F3 in freight livery colors (Blue). Same for the NYC K Line passenger cars of which I have 2 sets. Seems lately I'm running SF and Pennsy Engines. Your right, I'm seeing even the K Line Hudson going up in price when you can find them and have seen many converted over to PS3.

One of the most colorful Hudsons. The C&O streamlined Hudson by Lionel, TMCC and RS. Bill
