Sorry about add at the beginning but this is how I honor the ones we lost.

I was aboard ship when it happened but went ashore 3 times looking for survivors, second time I got the honor of carrying a body bag, when they opened it I lost it, it was a friend from my last station, he filled cand/soda/beer machines on the base. I had no idea even wanted to join the service let alone the Marines, I lost 241 brothers that day. 23 Oct 1983 this was suppose to be a peace keeping mission, although it was a regular night thing that they were shot at.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. You fought for freedom so feel free to speak your peace as long as we are respectful to each other and follow forum rules. Your post did so it was all good.

Never a problem Army Ranger, whatever your feeling always post here. Your among friends. Yes we talk about trains but we are also talk about anything going on in your life, past and present. Sometimes we all need to rant so please keep coming here when you feel you must say something. Your feelings and experiences are always welcomed.
