Sam Ash music stores is closing all their 44 stores. Never bought a guitar from them but I’ve gotten items from the King of Prussia store. Too bad they were nice to deal with.
Not just hobby stores are closing due to pressure from internet sellers.

Lots of places going out of business. Red Lobster just filed for bankruptcy and closed up around 100 restaurants. Apparently the endless shrimp deal was a disaster.

Not never bought anything from them, but it's sad to hear. Next thing you know Sweetwater will be going out of business.

I guess that some of this is inevitable with Amazon having an absolutely huge logistical network that can deliver to your doorstep and things of interest to the likes of us being most easily found/sourced online. But the demise of a major retailer is no joke and we seem to be descending into a kind of robotic society. I don’t like this one bit but the local bricks and mortar sources are dwindling.

The Exton mall near me is just about closed, filled with mostly medical offices. The King of Prussia mall is about the only one still viable at least in this area.
To be honest I have not been in a store of any kind in about 5 years. If I want anything I go online and order it. I buy groceries online once a month and have them delivered. All my medication is delivered. Its really a big help as I get older. This coming fall may be my last trip to York considering how I feel afterwards, its a different world now, some good some bad.

Sad news. I have. Bought some things from them online but there isn’t a store near me.
Guitar Center was close to closing not long ago.

I really don't like dealing with Guitar Center, but they are the only ones left here in Southwest Michigan. Last thing I bought was a Ampeg 4+10 bass cabinet from Sweetwater. It was weird getting something that big delivered to my house. I was still playing gigs then.

Sadly our local music store closed last year. Last guitar I bought was from them. A nice G&L.
