I’m glad both Chris and Trainz is having success with the sale of Chris’ trains. It’s good for the hobby being exposed to the public on YouTube. And if people are excited about buying trains that belonged to Chris who are we to judge their excitement or the method of selling?
I’ve met Chris briefly and I quickly realized what a gentleman he is and the high level of enthusiasm he has for O gauge trains. That said, I’ve been around the block a few times and I have my own criteria for buying trains. Talk about influencers, these O gauge Forums have influenced at least half of my collection!! So YouTube videos about the hobby are similar. The influencing depends on the product vs. my desire to buy it, whether it’s here or YouTube.
There are sooooo many videos of O gauge content and prototype trains to watch. Even prototype videos have influenced my purchases at times. My view is that I love to watch them. I wish I had time to watch them all. I think of them as entertainment, not as something to convince me to buy something.
Let’s just relax and enjoy the show! Well Said! I agree. He is very enthusiastic about trains and a great guy. Personally I am happy he is promoting the hobby. More and More young people are getting involved and I personally am VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!
