I have no idea, but hoping its not Solar Panels. Serious, on Solar Panels. My neighbor has them, I was thinking of them until we both last year had our roofs done, because of age and insurance. They quoted him by several roofers and proffesional company needed to first remove and re-instal panels after shingles done. He had quotes of 32,000.00 to 45,000.00. I don't know which he took but he also needed to replace several. My quotes were 15,000.00 to 17,000.00. Took 2 days. His took 5 days. . . . or, you could have had a fixed-price quote in your solar panel agreement to remove and replace the solar panels, if for instance you needed to have your roof replaced. In our case, it'll cost us something like $3-4K any time we need to have our 29 solar panels removed (at the end of the 20 year lease, unless we negotiate a purchase at that point), or removed and replaced for roof replacement (plus the actual cost of the roof's replacement, of course). So, yes, having solar panels will increase the cost of any needed roofing repair, but it's possible to know the added cost up front.

We had 32 solar panels installed on our home just a couple months after landing in Southern California. With the pool pump running half the day our electric bill was over $700 a month, and that was before the summer heat.
After installation our monthly bill dropped to under $100 and some months we were credited. Recently I bought plug in Power Savers that stabilizes the electrical current to the house and our monthly electric bill has been less than zero and we get money back at the end of the year.

Nice to hear that it has worked out. We are hitting $800+ in the summer with the AC on. Winter months have been around $400. There are about 4 months (Fall and Spring) where we fall around $250 per month. They just increased the rates so I wouldn't be surprised if that would get about $1,000, but never find out if that is the case.

WOW! I can see going alternative. I thought our last bill was high which includes water and sewer besides electricity. It was 138.59. I remember paying my parents electric bill when I was a youngster and dad got upset if it was over 8.00. Water bill was usually around 4 to 5.

New England doesn’t produce any power so we are at the costly end of the supply chain.

Solar has been in place and live since midday on Friday. So far so good! We generated more than we used yesterday and that should be the norm for most sunny days going forward. That included a nice one hour train run session! The utility hasn’t installed the reverse meter yet so I can sell power back yet but that should happen soon. So happy to reduce this cost.
