Hello Guys !
I finally found the time to work on my Bassett-Lowke LMS Duchess class 4-6-2 "Lady Patricia"...
Opening the hatch - the previous owner had it fitted with Remote Control and Rail Sound modules :
But he also toroughly preserved the original parts, so I removed all the stuff and could reinstate the locomotive in its original features - smoke unit, 2-3 rails operation. Test = OK, all works as expected :
Maintenance = cleaning and greasing the gears, plus polishing the wheel rims from Black (original) to Silver - I personally find the look much more classy and attractive :
Finishing the rewiring once tested successfully :
Next step : complete reassembly of the lcomotive and final cleaning - to come !
What about the Remote Control and Rail Sounds ? After a validation test, I will install it in a modified/dedicated luggage coach, that will be hooked after any steam locomotive to add the sound feature, making it "universal"...
