Was looking on E-Bay for some of the 990’s for sale and also sold prices. I came across the usual ones in the thousands but a few came up that were surprising. One sold for $100 BIN and another was for sale at $350 BIN. Unfortunately the latter one was described as for parts only. I might have been tempted except for the fact that Lionel cannot repair the bases making this a non-starter.
I did notice some actually being auctioned with some rather low bids but with a number of days to go.
Many have said that when the CAB3 is available prices on CAB2 systems will go down but I think that may or may not happen. The remotes will be in great demand and thus prices will remain high.
