Like I said my friend and myself were going to the train store to get my LC+ fixed and his ZW fix. So after driving at least six detours, Bob wasn't at the stored. He had to play the piano at his church for a funeral so I couldn't be angry, but I wasn't happy. He texted me, but I didn't see it because I was driving.
The upside we came across a street market in Stevensville, MI on the way back. It was a nice diversion from my aggravation, but I won't be making that drive again for quite a while.

There are several train stores within 90 minute to 2 hours drive one way from our home. I always confirm the late afternoon before and in the case of a single proprietor I follow up the following morning with a phone call just in case before starting out. It has saved me the kind of disappointment you experienced more than once.

Sorry to hear this, Denny. Don’t let it get you down.
My local train store is about an hour away in Melbourne. If we are going to Melbourne I’ll add a stop at the train store if I can fit it in. If it’s closed for some reason it’s no big deal since I’m in the area anyway, but if I’m making the trip just to go to the store I call before leaving just to make sure they are open. It doesn’t happen often but they occasionally have to close for some unforeseen reason.
