Welcome back, long time no see. Glad to hear things are progressing.
I have a sign in my garage, it's actually automotive oriented but may fit. " fast service no matter how long it takes"

Welcome back, John. That’s a lot of work to do all by yourself but you’re doing a great job. I’m looking forward to seeing your new layout come to life.

This sure brings back memories of our redo quite a number of years ago. I am having a deja vu sensory experience of construction smells, saw dust, constructive adhesive, drywall dust, and drywall mud. Are you doing this all yourself? May we have a sense of dimensions of the layout area? Do you have a layout configuration already in mind? Yes ... all myself 60 ft x 30 feet Folded dog bone around the walls... double decker ... bar area...plans to follow. Holy smoke! I hope you don't allow your job to interfere with your spare time.

LOL... no I still work 10 - 12 hours a day. I call it the chisel technique. You can only chisel away a little bit a day.

Drywall was hung just before Christmas. Added receptacles every 6ft. First of all it is great to see you back - I've always hugely enjoyed your posts, photos and videos.
Second, I was both envious and sympathetic when I saw all that excellent framing and drywalling. In the absence of a basement or attic (being a condo dweller these days), I have no such scope for train space or indeed a proper workbench, but my current version of this activity is constructing a one-off utility car (the UP 2066 generator car) mostly out of sheet plastic, in which filler will hopefully conceal the seams! The last time I did any drywall finishes I had a pro help me with the main part of the work but with this car construction and finishing exercise I am on my own. (There's a dedicated 2066 project thread somewhere on the OGF and I intend to update it soon to show where I've got to so far, which is really not a patch (no pun intended) on your efforts.)

JDaddy, It's good that you have returned. I came on board after you left. I am looking forward to getting to know you. Good luck with the construction / layout projects. Alfred
