We got the brand new Lionel Legacy Chessie SD50 #8755 recently in at our Museum. I did not see any videos online yet for it, so I wanted to go ahead and post one.
In the video itself I wanted to start out with the 5 different horn options and then move it slowly forward and reverse to see the marker lights. My overall opinion, is this is an A+. The placement of the horn above the cab and the bell on the top right side are spot on correct. I know I read on the other forum about the truck placement isn't 100% accurate, well I complete overlook it. Unless your looking from the side of the unit and really looking, you won't notice that. Heck if I didn't see that mentioned earlier about that, I would have never noticed. The big thing I was most worried about was if Lionel was going to do the color correct and sure enough it is spot on correct. This is a homerun for me. The kinematic fixed pilots on each end are awesome!!
As to the horn options, the 5th horn in the video is the most accurate to this unit. K5LA's were a big thing in the 70's and 80's and are still today. But on the top of the cab with the silver horns, that is the exact design of a real K5LA.
