I recently got a Santa Fe bicentennial SD45, 30-21122-1 That was just released. On Wednesday, a friend of mine messaged me stating that he bought a SD45 that was offered at the same time. He mentioned to me that the extended start up sequence cuts out to go straight to the engine start up.
I tried it today at the club with mine, and it does the same thing. Is this a sound file issue or a flash file issue?

He mentioned to me that the extended start up sequence cuts out to go straight to the engine start up. I tried it today at the club with mine, and it does the same thing. Is this a sound file issue or a flash file issue? With MTH, isn't sound/flash the same thing? In other words, as this is a PS3 engine I would have guessed that the sound file is loaded on the system memory the same way as other DCS engines and if there's a defect it's in that software. I don't see from the product description on MTH's website ( SD-45 ) that there's any specific limitation on the extended start-up feature and it's also listed as available in the DCC features. It's been a long time since I had to access and load MTH sound files so I can't say whether re-loading the file would cure this problem but that's what I would think of doing first. People who run Railking engines (I don't) might be able to tell you whether this feature isn't enabled in them as opposed to higher end engines but I have never heard that it is limited.

Send it back to your dealer, Don't accept items that are broken out of the box.

Send it back to your dealer, Don't accept items that are broken out of the box. Dave It's every single SD45. My friend bought 3 all of them did it too. I've emailed MTH. The last time there was an issue with an engine that MTH release they did a software update and it fixed everything and that's all it needs.
