While not politically correct in some respects in this day and age, I came across two episodes of the Lil Rascal series on Youtube which have railroad themes. I do not know how to provide YouTube links or even if that is allowed. Perhaps one of our more learned members will assist in that regard.
'Railroadin' is the most railroad oriented episode however the soundtrack is not the best. It is sort of the run away train meets the Lil'Rascals. Except for Farina, this group of Lil Rascals was the least known to me.
'Choo Choo' is more about what can happen when you mix a railroad trip/overnight sleeper with mistaken identity. Not much about the RR but with 'Choo Choo' as the title who could resist a look.
It seems that at this age. Spanky MacFarland a mere baby, was best at making funny/scowling faces, and socking folks in the nose.
He was the male counterpart to Shirley Temple with no singing, or dancing but a heck of a right hook!
Sorry I am trying to get this moved to the correct Forum Topic. My mistake.

That was a great short!!! During the silent film era Laurel and Hardy had a few RR based scenes. Also Baby Peggy had one but I can’t remember the name of the episode.

'Railroadin' was a tough assignment for Stymie what with being run over by that engine several times both back and forth and then hopping up on the pilot and climbing around the engine! I never heard of Baby Peggy though. Glad you enjoyed the shorts.

Thanks for the reference to the Lil' Rascals. I don't recall seeing the one about the railroad; although, I do recall some others - especially the one about the orphenage and porage. Alfred
