May 13 is the next episode supposedly solely about Base 3.

Lionel does not attend York any longer. Some sort of disagreement between Lionel and the EDTCA. Dave Your first sentence is correct. Your 2nd sentence is wrong. Stu I think that Lionel doesn’t attend York for the same reason that other train companies don’t attend and the same reason many train dealers don’t attend. With attendance dropping to just over 6,000 it isn’t worth the investment.

I was told by a few at Lionel there’s a issue with the Eastern division but the rumor has it they will be back for Oct York.

Getting back to Demos with Dave, while I found Dave's previous Demo of production run engines a bit shall I say awkward, credit must be given where credit is due. Dave is obviously in his element when discussing the Base 3.
I found his video informative, insightful, and above all helpful for one such as I who was in MTH Standard Gauge land while all the prior iterations of remotes and systems were evolving in Lionel land.
For those more informed about Cab 2/1L, and Base 3 the video may be a yawn fest, for others such as myself it provides a simple, and straight forward explanation of the Base 3 basics.
Also mentioned is a Lionel website strictly for the purpose of powering Lionel products with content currently and future for the Base 3.
A job well done by Dave for sure.

I laughed about Daves's comment about the Cab2... " if you're still using the old Cab 2 to run your trains"... Wha What? like that has been a staple for years and was I expected to just chuck it and accept the phone app as the new MO? Nope not me...

Or his comment about running MTH engines "Why would anyone want to" or something to the effect. a one line zing to the competition.

One other thing about the Base 3 itself. Dave mentioned that the base has vents/fins on the bottom to dissipate heat generated by the power supply. Fins/heat sinks I get as the heat is transferred from the inside to the outside via the fins pretty simple physics. But vents on the bottom of the base 3? Heat rises. Did anyone else catch that quick reference Dave made?

Make it look like a bridge, ok I see what they were going for but. I'd rather it be more functional size/shape wise. If I were to get one, more than likely it would be under the control panel next to the transformer and you wouldn't see it anyway.

LOL- MTH comment. Yeah the look on Dave's face as he HAD to answer the question... Honestly though I did not see the ability to connect the old CAB 1 directly to the CAB 3? I must have missed something...

I must have missed something... Connecting the Base three to DCS or TMCC is the same as with the Cab2 system. You need a LCS-SER2 module connected to the PDI port of the Base3. You no longer need the separate LCS wallwart to power your LCS modules as the Base3 powers everything now.
