Very nice. I have no recent photos of folks on the basement layout, but here's a few from the 2023 Christmas display: They are all Plasticville with the exception of maybe one or two that are from MTH blisters. I have a method of painting that relies on the two-foot rule...i.e. if they look good from two feet away, they look good enough. Here's a few I've painted over the last couple of years: And then there's that annoying running fat guy by Arttista: I love painting figures...you never know how they'll turn out.

Here's one from the Oblivion Station platform this evening - I was interested in getting a picture of the station and the people arriving and departing. On the other hand, my friend and fellow railfan was just interested in taking pictures of the trains.

Great idea for a thread! Some neat scenes as well.
I will take and share some photos when I get a chance to do so.

I have 3 bags of figures sitting I bought for passenger cars, I had to cut feet off on the ones I used so they would fit actually sitting. If anybody wants them let me know, pay shipping and they are yours. ( there the ones from China )

Thanks Bill...we paint all kinds of stuff here: Figures for the railroad still the favorite, though.

Bill If you want to give your grand daughter a real challenge let her try kitbashing and painting plastic figures. Some examples

Wow! Some nice things here, including ships, and I might add to that another time. Personally I am not into station/sidewalk persons because of not having anything permanent where they can dwell. But inside of passenger cars is a different story:

Here are some of my little folks. Little folks on the way to Sunday mass. Little folks at the trolley station and checking out the automobile exhibit. Little folks in cars. Little folks at the fair.
