Were there any tinplate engines produced with TMCC.

I don't believe so. There were proto-sound or conventional are the only two I have seen. It wouldn't be hard to install though, plenty of room to do so.

The hard part of TMCC install on tinplate engine is isolating the antenna. the conductive body of the engine blocks the TMCC signal to an internal antenna.

I suppose you could use the body as the antenna if you isolated it. How did MTH do PS2/3 in these engines. Maybe they don’t need an antenna for their system.

Tinplate use the body as the ground to for the lights to my knowledge. I don't have O but do have Standard Gauge though have never tried it but did know I had plenty of room, the antenna would be a challenge. It just being a coated wire, as long as the end being sealed you should be okay I would think. But next question would be, would all the tin interfere with the signal?

You could use a TPC 300/400 or a power master.

YES MTH. MTH used PS3 which is transmitted via the rails both ways!

You could use a TPC 300/400 or a power master. I have a ZW-L and it has four built in PowerMasters. I can run anything conventional I was just looking for speed control.

I might be misunderstanding what all a ZW-L can do, but I thought using the powermaster part you had speed control using your cab 2 or legacy-L controller.

I guess by speed control I mean constant speed regardless of voltage. In other words a type of cruise control.
As for not knowing about the features I can understand that since not that many people know how the transformer was designed. It has four built in PowerMasters that can be addressed by either a CAB1-L or CAB2 system. The ZW-L gets programmed in Command Mode and then you can address the ZW-L.
There is a YouTube video done by Lionel which goes through all the features of the ZW-L.

Well that would possibly knock out ERR as if memory serves me right, they didn't have cruise control for A/C motor just DC motors.
