Wow! Very scientific approach. I’ve never seen detailed schematics for switch track before. Thanks @adam ! Oh it's not Rocket Science : a caliper, some drawings and the results in a table and that's done... But doing this, I could learn where the problems occured. I made quick preliminary tests this evening, by readjusting the gauge of the IVES #1694 trucks to 31.5mm and it proved already successful against derailment. To insure a smooth rolling operation, I have to mill with a Dremel the deepness of the grooves on the heart (center) of the Hornby switches, because the high flanges of the IVES truck wheels bumps on it. Once done, the problem of derailment should be solved - at least for the IVES #1694 !I'll try to take pictures and videos to post the results... OACE
