I received an email from Beth of Public Delivery Track last week about an order she was shipping my way, and she mentioned at the time that her spouse was in the hospital. Tonight I saw a message on the website's home page indicating Rachel is critically ill with a grim prognosis... so the business is closed hoping to possibly re-open on March 11th.
These are good people. I remember when Beth and Rachel had an East Coast location near Philly that allowed them to attend York (Brown Hall) and Allentown ATMA train shows. Public Delivery Track was the big vendor in York's Brown Hall. And for Allentown ATMA, they had an entire wall of tables to the right side of the main entrance as soon as you walked into Agriculture Hall. But now that they're strictly based on the West Coast, they haven't done East Coast train shows for several years.
Nonetheless, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We're all getting up there in years, and I'm sure all the positive vibes will help!!!

Rachel was always a pleasure to deal with at the shows and a pleasant lady. It sounds like she’s in really bad shape. Prayers for her comfort and for Beth in this difficult time.

I'm not much for praying so I'll send positive thoughts their way.

Folks, the Public Delivery Track website now has an update indicating Rachel's condition is improving slowly. Still in the hospital though. So please keep sending those positive vibes out West!
The shop is open for business again. However, expect some shipping delays while Beth catches up and another person comes on board to help move things along.
- "Rachel, who was critically ill last few weeks, is now recovering slowly. We are open for business and orders. Please expect a possible 1 to 2 week delay in shipping. L&NE and D&M RS-3 invoices will be going out easly april. Thanks very much for your understanding."

Thanks for the update. Public Delivery Track is one of the best hobby shops out there. I have and had many orders with them. Well wishes and prayers.

Oh my! Sending positive thoughts and hoping for full recovery! Don't think I ever met Rachel, but Beth is always a pleasure to deal with. Her area of the Brown Hall was always sensibly well ordered and great stuff.

Sad news from a longtime train vendor. Remember Public Delivery well. They were always at York and Allentown. We extend our prayers and best wishes to Rachel for a complete recovery.
