Aluminum 21" passenger cars? I'd would REALLY like to see a picture of those PLEASE and THANK YOU!!!! Cheers, Price It is with humility and apologies that I acknowledge that I was mistaken about the cars being aluminum. They are however 21" in length. At least that is what is stated on the box. One out of two isn't bad.

I would just go the ERR route with sound package. After some additional consultation and consideration ERR Cruise Commander (M), perhaps a more robust smoke unit and sound package is the winner. I will sell the 2 Weaver 21" cars that I bought at the same time and run with the MTH John Wilkes 18" cars instead. Back to Hennings in a few weeks for the procedure.

The John Wilkes engine is so nice the addition of ERR and sound will make it outstanding.

Chuck,
The 18" MTH heavyweight cars (5+2 add on) is the set I have to run behind the John Wilkes. The only other set that I am aware of made for the John Wilkes was by GGD as a special run for JusTrains of Delaware. These were (I believe) 4 car sets, and there were only 25 sets produced. I saw a set of the GGD cars come up for auction on THAT site and dropped out at $2K for the four car set. I would still love to get my hands on a set one day. These are all heavyweight style which is why I got so excited about you saying there were aluminum cars for the John Wilkes out there, because that would be even better than the GGD set. Thanks for clearing things up.
Cheers,
Price
