I have my eye on a Standard Gauge tinplate set that is new old stock and want to find out what I should expect to pay for it.
This is the set:
Lionel Classics 6-13001 No.I-318 Standard Gauge Tinplate Freight Set 1990
Let me know if you can help me. Thanks.

There’s a NIB 6-13001 set on eBay right now priced at $605.99 plus $45.00 shipping. Seems a pretty fair price to me. eBay 6-13001

Well, there was one NIB sold in January for $360 plus $21.99 shipping. A lot of bids on that one, so probably a representative price. Still seems low to me for NIB, but what do I know.

$360 plus shipping is a great deal for that set. Someone did good. I have been wanting to get my hands on a Blue Comet set with the 400E steam engine for a while but the prices on those are through the roof. The freight set has that classic look that I like. I will keep my eye on the set on eBay and see if they drop the price. I did reach out to them and asked if they would consider and offer but they said they didn't do that. Either way I am in no hurry. I will just wait for the right set and price to eventually come along. I will get me a tinplate sooner or later. lol

I’ve seen those sets offered a number of times in the $550-$600 range. There is a set on the Philadelphia Craigslist for sale. I think it’s $549 but it’s been around for a while so the seller might be interested in an offer.
