I have read that to post photos on this forum that are larger than the small ones that currently show up on our postings a photo hosting site is required.
So, which ones are you folks using.

An external photo sharing site is actually not required but there is a trick to it.
Step 1. Create a post and upload the photo(s) you want. Save it.
Step 2. open the post you created and click on the photo that you want to make bigger. it will open in another browser tab. Copy the URL (link) to that photo into your clipboard (highlight it and click CTRL-C).
Step 3. Go back to your post and edit it.
Step 4. Put the cursor where you want to put the larger photo.
Step 5. Click on the "Insert Photo" button, which is the 7th button from the right.
Step 6. Paste the URL to your photo in the "Image URL" field and click OK.
Step 7. Save the changes to your post.
Done.

Hmmm...I'll have to try that. Hope it doesn't scarf up to much of OGF's storage space, though.

I have been following this thread and learned something new AGAIN! But now my question is directly to Adam. I read your post with great interest and wanted to print JUST YOUR POST. Is there a way to do that without highlighting, copying and pasting in notepad? With my memory it is best if I print it out. (I will plant a tree for the paper I use)

Most websites don't lend themselves to printing easily.

Hmm, interesting workaround from Adam, but to answer the original question: Shutterfly.com. Pretty much unlimited photo storage, and a good place to put together photo books!

Take a screen shot, transfer to ms paint, save and print the picture. I do this all the time with Google maps

For posting larger pictures on OGF I use Imgur for photo hosting.
•Once you create an account you can add pictures to it. •When you want to post one on the forum click on your Imgur user name at the top and choose "images" from the drop down list. •The pictures you uploaded will appear and click on the picture you want to open it. •There will be a side bar with links to the picture for various uses. Copy the link for "BBCode (message boards & forums)". •Go back to OGF and click on "BBCode" at the bottom of your post. •Paste the copied link where you want the picture to show up. •Then click on "Preview" at the bottom of your post to view the picture that will appear on the forum •Then create your post.
It's a lot faster and easier than it reads.

I use shutterfly.com the trick with shutterfly is goto your picture click on it, once it opens right click the pic and select open in new tab, goto new tab copy url come back here and click on picture icon when it opens insert it in the top spot and click enter and it will post. once you have done it a couple of times you'll see it's easier than it sounds

Yeah, I use the same site and it works easily once you are used to it. Plus it reminds me what I have posted already!
They messed around with the App recently but it's still relatively simple.
