 Yes, I have too many projects going on in parallel, but don't we all and I like being busy. Similar to my Army NW2, this NW2 is being repurposed. This was an all-black, undecaled post-war NW2 that has a bell. When I got it, I had a few ideas in mind for it, so am off to the races with it. if you know me well enough, this should be a no brainer answer.

Adam, Since you have aligned yourself with Boston, that would rule out the Yankee scheme. You may already have a NASA engine. So that leaves the switcher choice - I don't think you have enough switchers. Alfred

Well, it wasn't there to pick, but would have said "Navy" and have it ready for when the Navy and Army games are played. So, went with the obvious.

Alright. I won’t make you all wait any longer. This will be a NASA Engine. I have some cars that I will decorate with NASA decals as well. Just total fun, made up, fantasy NASA scheme. It will be loosely based on this engine, but I will be taking some liberties.  |

I like Walt’s navy idea a lot. I took this not so wonderful photo a few years ago. I don’t know if it helps but it is a real NASA switcher.  |

Ummm ... You have the correct base coat for a USAF military switcher. Decals are easy to make as you only need the "U.S. AIR FORCE" and a loco number. Maybe some yellow/black diagonal safety striping. Plenty of stock images for your exact loco on the net.  click images to enlargeAttachments:
