Amputation as I stated is painless for me doing the procedure, I have thought we should be providing wheelchairs for the riders.

I have a O gauge Wood-chipper to handle the amputations (think Fargo)…

I've amputated many of legs, I give them some southern comfort first to minimize the pain. I was a Jack Daniels man.

Seeing I live in the south, I had to go with some southern comfort, now with that said, I didn't necessary mean the liquor, but being a southern type Yankee, I felt you have to give them some southern hospitality or comfort was the correct thing to do.

Let them eat KFC for comfort - it's my comfort food and I have the physical condition to prove it.

I've lived in NY, Illinois, Wyoming, Texas, and now Florida and still am a Milk drinking man. But get me back to Germany and I'm a Snaaps and Beer man, (you heard the expression not to drink the native water right?).

Dave, were there seats in your cars, or did you have to add them? Alfred

I have done the leg and ankle amputations also to get passengers to fit. Beside interiors not being to scale as @harborfreight70 mentioned, manufacturers can't agree on a standard size of people. They are all different.
Recently I cut some figures up. But I re-glued them into the positions I wanted them in. This was a fun project.

A lot of the O scale passenger figures that come from China/Hong Kong seem to reflect the belief that Westerners are all 7 feet tall! You can usually tell this from the photos on eBay and other sources and it means that standing figures are not really suitable for most car interiors as opposed to platform/station and other outdoor scenes. I’ve tried “sectioning” such figures to shorten them but they still look too tall to me, at least when viewed through car windows.
This patriotic bar scene inside of a Lionel 21” dome car is an example of where taller figures can work in a scale size car but you’ll note the very elongated girl in green and red as opposed to the shorter figures elsewhere:
