It's getting increasingly difficult to figure out what's an authentic scheme and what is fantasy. I presume this is a fantasy scheme (not that it matters terribly...it looks pretty sharp).

Menards is getting better at detail. These tank cars are very nice.

Wish they would make a Procor non-fantasy tank car!

Making a tank car labeled for "Procor," "GATX," or other currently existing and used trademarks, trade names or logos may present more legal challenges than Menards wishes to deal with.

The cars are great but the couplers are garbage!!! They really need to improve them. They are an easy fix though. With a small rubber band like the ones girls use for their pony tails. And they are cheap.

And they are cheap. Dave I agree. I like to use a small black zip tie to "fix" mine. Rubber bands get brittle over time. For the price this is a small inconvenience to me.

I have a bunch of Menards freight cars that I haven’t run yet. What is the issue with the couplers? Do they pop open under load? If they pop open I just put a drop of crazy glue inside and tape it shut until the glue dries. I did that to a scale gondola 25 years ago and it has held up great.

The couplers just open up usually the ones where the trucks are plastic. What I have done is put a drop of super glue on the tongue of the open coupler (I use plastic glue because I'm allergic to super glue). Close the coupler and let it dry. Or you can use a small rubber band.
