Nobody likes to pay taxes, but we sure do like to eat safe food, drink clean water (or insert your beverage of choice), drive on paved highways, breathe unpolluted air, and ride in/on safe autos, planes and trains. All of that, and a lot more (including the security/defense of our democracy), would not be possible without taxes. If you can understand that relationship, you would stop complaining and try to fix injustices in the tax system that do exist. Chuck Chuck, while your commentary is "technically" correct, I think we can ALL point to areas where taxes have been abused with absolutely ZERO accountability of that misuse by the powers-at-be. Any further commentary of that particular sentiment is beyond the scope of this forum, and I'll let it go at that. The reason for starting this thread was more informational than political. And for a couple of more days, some folks in states whose online sales tax collection on eBay becomes effective on 10/1/2019, it was an alert for them to snag that big purchase on eBay before eBay is required to collect another $60-$120 on real big-ticket items. After October 1st, those states will only blow the extra dollars collected anyway. We all know that. David
