Even though I wrote it down I forgot all about this item. A item I ordered because my mom would serve this scrapple every Sunday. For those who never ate scrapple, you're ve, are you certain that this missing out on one of the great breakfast meats ever made. But don't ask what it is made of, just enjoy it. Glad it came today. Dave Dave are you certain that scrapple is a meat product? I have suggested that vegans try it! An oink is not a meat product!

Aw!! You guys are missing out if you never tried Scrapple with a little ketchup and an forgive the contradiction, but scrapple ww/oomelet of 4 eggs with cheese and some fried potatoes, now I'm hungry!!! Dave Forgive the additional contradiction however scrapple w/o a dollop of apple butter is just so blasé. Once you have tasted that combination anything with it will be secondary. Ah!! Another combo to go with the great taste of scrapple, I do like apple butter and putting it on scrapple is a second favorite for me but a good one. Dave

Is it a meat product? Is ham a meat product? My grandmother who had a farm and raised pigs, hogs and other animals considered it meat. Nobody would ever tell my grandmother she was wrong! So if she said it was meat, its meat!!!

I don't order enough to forget the process, but train stuff I've got squirreled away? Now that's a different story... As for this scrapple thing, I will not criticize, roll my eyes, or make strange faces... I've eaten haggis - several times! Dave

I might have tried scrapple if I didn't know what it was made of. But then what's in hot dogs or bologna? Forgetting PO? no but I did find a new TM that I had forgot about. I remember buying it but forgot I had it.

Brian, that’s a VERY soar subject for me. And if those OGF club cars weren’t part of that shipment, I’m not buying one single item from MTH until they get their act together. We’ve been told for months now that these cars are “on the water”.
Bottom line: I have a healthy pre-order that’s been PREPAID as far back as I can remember. And with very few exceptions, it’s the last prepaid pre-order I’m doing — not just for OGF, but for other special-runs in general. I’ve pretty much had it with this nonsense. ... All the other flat cars that were in that run were shipped months ago. We’ll never get a straight answer.
As for the OGF custom run, they were supposed to be undecorated models that once they are delivered they still have to go to the contracted painter for finishing. It probably would have been better to order any regular production model of these and have those repainted. They could have been done and delivered months ago.
... Brian, you are correct on all fronts. MTH doesn't even seem to know what's shipping when as far as this project was concerned. Regarding when these will ship to our doorstep... I'm not exactly holding my breath. Yes... these will now need to be "decorated" with the flame decals and whatever else needs to be done by the contractor. So this has been quite the process.
I'm pretty sure the earlier club caboose and club hopper were just regular-run MTH products that were subsequently painted/decorated for OGF... largely because the numbers were relatively manageable to do it that way. These trailers will have the fancy flame decals applied and were ordered in a larger quantity, so I can see why it made sense to order "undecorated" trailers as the starting point. But I don't think ANYONE ever expected things to run amok as they have going on 2 years now for a piece of rolling stock. I believe the actual flatcar is an MTH Premier-issue New York Central livery. So the PUP trailers are what need the final decorating touches now.
BTW, on a somewhat related note... if anyone is building an "OGF freight train" and is interested in the OGF club caboose or hopper, feel free to send me a PM before I list them for-sale. With the quantity of these custom-run flatcars w/trailers that I pre-ordered, I plan to run them as a nice unit train along with the matching OGF club locomotive. And the caboose I'm using is the Lionel Virginian NS caboose seen in this link... something I acquired some time ago with this unit train in mind. That will do it for me in terms of OGF club cars. We all have our limits... both in terms of finances and patience.

I must say I eat scrapple. Not on a regular basis but at least a couple times a year. I also purchased JT Mega Smoke in the scrapple sent.
