The two Hiawatha engines that I think looks best are the Christmas and Lionel lines one. Striking paint schemes and the colors really pop.
The funniest one is the bob Ross water tower, if you want somebody looking over your layout, this may be it.
The engine that looks like a remake of the 675 post war engine and the diesel FT made in various road names looks like it is aimed straight at Menards for a alternative for a steam engine they don't have yet and a diesel FT in response to their (Menards) F unit in a similar price range. (Smart)

Dave, for some reason... the streamlined Hiawatha locomotives never really called my name. So that eliminated several page-spreads in the catalog from serious consideration. But the 18" aluminum cars in the Christmas section of the catalog have some definite possibilities, since I plan to purchase the Christmas F-19 that was cataloged in 2023 Volume 2. (Click the thumbnail below to enlarge the image with the F-19 superimposed.)
The truck coloring of the new passenger cars appears gold/bronze, which matches the colors of the Hiawatha drivers and tender trucks. But I think the colors are still complementary overall with the F-19. And I'm really enamored with having 18" aluminum passenger cars from Lionel again in a Christmas livery -- MUCH more so than the 21" ABS passenger cars Lionel offered with the botched YUELTIDE spelling from 2023. So SO glad I didn't "settle for mediocrity" and returned that set of 21" cars!!!

Did you notice they had 15” passenger cars with “yuletide” spelled correctly this time?

The Hiawatha was never a engine that I loved and like you the F-19 may be the best Christmas engine yet! One guy I know has told me that so far on his list has added up to $12,450 so far from the new catalog and he is not done. Guess ill find out what the total will be he is done, most likely it will be high. Dave

But I can see how an enthusiast can quickly get to that number. For most of us mere mortals, reality would whittle that wish-list down CONSIDERABLY. But for those who can do it, I say, "Go for it... and ENJOY!!!". I'm sure a YouTuber or two will EASILY hit that number. After all, they must remain "relevant" with new video content on a VERY regular basis. LOL!!!
