It’s been snowing in different parts of the country. Is it snowing on your layout – and do you have a snow plow?
During the post war era, Lionel had a #53 Rio Grande snow plow (1956) and a #58 Great Northern rotary snow plow ()1959. If you have one, maybe show it in action. Alfred

NO SNOW but wires down, flooding and LOTS OF RAIN and Wind. Been a busy night at the firehouse. Being a Rural Fire department covering two township and a tiny Boro we have been swamped tonight.

Well final damage report was plenty of wires down, four telephone poles in a row blown over, another couple poles in various areas blown over, a few trees down, Flooding several roads (this is what happens when the bulk of your area is only 5 to 35 feet above sea level) and some other misc.
Biggest two events
Local Elementary school had the complete roof that was replaced last April come completely off and destroy the Gym and Stage
One of our farmers had the roof blow off (some hinged and the rest went airborne into the yard and house) his livestock barn. Wind took a 2x12 about twenty feet long and threw it into the yard like a javelin. It was sticking straight up out of the ground.
A couple of our nurseries lost greenhouses. One lost over 80. Anything running north to south was find anything west to east was basically destroyed.
SO Yes it was an extremely busy night and day. Since I am also the deputy OEM coordinator I was busy all day today also. Can We say TIRED? More than. Hello Bed. NO TRAINS TONIGHT!

A Canadian Pacific plow train in the Rockies - a plow on each end, a Jordan Spreader behind each plow and two SD40-2s in the middle, quite achievable in O Gauge form. Maybe some day... Dave

I have two of them to handle the mainlines of the Penn American Railroad Mountain Division. Adding to my growing Strasburg Railroad collection is the Atlas O Russell snow plow custom run for the Train Collectors Association. Here is the prototype at the Strasburg tourist line. Also on my roster is a MTH Rail King Pennsylvania Railroad rotary plow.
