A chunky beast indeed, and a worthy museum retirement. I remember reading about the Madison incline. In diesel days they used EMD SD7s with concrete ballast added in the frames - a fearsome hill for a locomotive. I believe the 0-10-0 was used on the Lickey Incline in England - its nickname was Big Emma.
