“I was running the trains at about 30 scale mph.” I think that is a good speed. Makes for good viewing and good video. I don’t even run my streamliners fast.

I usually run both freight and passenger trains about 30 scale mph. That's actually slow. Passenger trains probably run in the 60-80 mph range and when I lived in Poughkeepsie, NY, I sometimes ran along river road in Newburgh keeping pace with a CSX freight going 40-50 mph. I've run my trains at 40 mph and that seems too fast.
