No trains this year and probably for a while. I just got a 2024 Ford F250 Lariat, a massive upgrade from my 1985 Ford Ranger.  |

Very little for me this year but that was the agreement.
Santa is buying my wife and I a solar system (panels + batteries). We are getting tired of that ever increasing cost of electricity where we live.

I hope you get a better deal than the previous owners did on this house. Which I had to take over to get this place. I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought this place.

We shopped around and I think we found the best deal. We plan to buy the system as that is the easiest way to get a return and transfer ownership if we decide to sell. We plan to stay long term but who knows what the future hold. |

I got a Chessie System tanker and a Chessie cap. Also some new strings for my bass guitar. Plus socks, gloves and a cell phone holder for my adult tricycle. Attachments:

I got a guitar center gift card. Probably will use it for new strings for my guitars. It’s been awhile since I changed them. Same here it's been a while. It was a battle getting the E and A strings on. The D and G strings were not so hard. I changed the strings on my guitar a couple of weeks ago. Both have heavy gig use. I’m also going to get one of my guitars, my favorite, re-fretted. This is a Fender Telecaster deluxe edition. Starting to become unplayable because of fret wear. |

My wife and I don’t exchange gifts much by design. We treat each other all year long so we don’t feel the need to have a single day for that, although Christmas is very special to us.
This year life was so hectic for us that we didn’t even finish decorating. Then we spent the week visiting my Mom and my son and his family in the Phoenix area. Like Dave, we had a great time and ate like kings.
However, thanks to Lionel’s annual Christmas time delivery, I did receive my Strasburg 2-10-0 Decapod #90 a week ago! That covers Christmas, my birthday, next year’s birthday, two Columbus Days and the Fourth of July (you know, Christmas in July!).
