I know some of our members are involved in scales other than O so I decided to create this poll. I think it will be interesting to see what trains our members are involved with.

I only do O currently but have been considering a G-Scale Garden railroad on and off for a while. Still haven't fully convinced the CEO of my operation that this would be a good investment.

Not O only but I do G around the tree to keep it simple and playful with PIKO because of their more Americana graphics on their Moguls and ore cars which I fill with Jelly Cat Christmas Mice and Nut Cracker figures. O and scale down in the big seasonal layout.

I have had O since I was a kid but I have had N scale,ho scale, English ho trains, marx. It was fun along the way but I settled on O and all these years later I have enjoyed it the most.

I am mainly O and enjoy it the most and am steadily growing my collection and progressing towards bigger things with it. I do have some HO, my oldest son has laid claim to almost all of my HO engines/rolling stock/track etc. and is growing it on his own. The only permanent layout we currently have and mostly finished (just this summer) is in HO unfortunately. One of my favorites in HO is my Johnny Cash theme train though, more of a display train for me. It consists of an A and B unit, 5 passenger cars, 4 box cars and a caboose all labeled with his name and different songs.

I generally only run O but I have some HO that I run every so often for amusement/play value. I’ve never pursued HO very seriously but I do like the Marklin system (AC power but can control DCC) and some of their operating features.

I'm a bit eclectic having had everything from G down to N scale, but O 3-rail is my main focus along with some old Standard Gauge tinplate. I have some O tinplate around, scale O 2-rail, some S gauge Flyer, and a small G scale stash in the back. I seem to get the best bang for the buck in modern secondary market 3-rail, and I'm enjoying the layout. That said, there's always a rabbit-hole somewhere to distract me, lol.

I’m primarily playing in O gauge for the last couple decades. It’s been about thirty years since I ran my HO trains that date from the 1960s to the 1990s. It’s been twenty years since I ran my N scale trains that date from the late 1960’s and 1970’s and some from the early 2000’s I haven’t run yet.
My plan is to someday build a layout that can run all of my gauges. O gauge would be the main focus with my HO scale running under the benchwork in the front The N scale would be on a separate layout nearby. I’d want to be able to reach it all.

I have a HO layout that is portable so I can put it away when I'm not running trains on it. I also have a On30 passenger set and some HO Santa Fe freight engines I run on it. The track is by Bachmann.

Okay. A list here…
O scale (US and some German) HO (US, German) OO (British) N scale (US, British) and OO Lionel prewar.
Tinkering with my old N scale layout from a few years ago. British 1:148, as opposed to US N scale which is 1:160. Next layout will be O scale…

This Brit N scale pioneer even built his own motors... www.2mm.org.uk/layouts/inversnecky/inversnecky.htmDave
