I received an email from a company called "Model Train Stuff" anyone know anything about this outfit? Sure -- that's the on-line moniker of the M.B. Klein Company, a long-time business whose physical warehouse is located on the other side of Baltimore from me, in Cockeysville, MD. Here's a link to their on-line store: www.modeltrainstuff.com/ I've bought several items from them, and have always been satisfied with their prices and customer service. And no, I'm not connected with them in any way, other than being a satisfied customer!

I’m old enough to remember going to their store down in the city on Gay Street, and was able to visit their brick-n-mortar store in Cockeysville after they relocated. Probably a decade or so back, they closed the physical storefront and went all-in online. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from them over these many years, and was never disappointed. Knowledgeable, a massive inventory, and good service.

Whenever I was in Baltimore on business I always tried to stop by their store. They were in a dicey area but they did have an open parking lot across the street. The store was packed with all kinds and scales including a nice selection the layout materials. The sales staff was very knowledgeable. After they moved I was never able to get back to them. I did pickup a Lionel NYC Legacy tlantic from them last year at a very good price. They even gave me an addition discount coupon as a first time internet buyer. The product was shipped promptly and double boxed.

The old store sounds nice, but I've only dealt with the "new" location -- no showroom or in-person service, but at least during COVID they offered drive-up delivery (you park outside, text them, and someone walks the item out to your car), which was very nice, cheap (no shipping!) and quick! Recently they sent a notice that in-person pickup has been suspended, and I don't know what if anything will replace it, other than standard shipping. Anyone heard anything more?

They are located in Cockeysville, MD outside of Baltimore and only do internet sales now. It is my understanding you can still pick-up orders at their location, but they don't have a showroom. I have ordered a number of things from them over the years and have had no issues.

They are one of my go-to shops for anything railroad. They don’t always have everything, but they are worth a look when shopping!

I've dealt with them a few times in the past. Always liked their prices and service. I like dealing with "no problem" companies. Bill
