Almost there - a few touch-ups and some truck tweaking should do it. As I said, it's a true scrapbox project and the original wasn't quite square....or straight, lol. As one friend mentioned, perfectly fine for a car full of beer! As mentioned, the car sides are card from an old NMRA Bulletin magazine. A few decades back, they occasionally had free car sides included in the club mag. The Olde Frothingslosh connection was a member who was a Pittsburgh radio host named Regis Cordic. He came up with the whole concept as a radio-show skit with spoof commercials. A local brewing company picked up the idea and ran with it, so the original spoof became reality. Instead of actual foam on the bottom, the beer cans were labeled upside-down and are collector items. Dave

What a fascinating Americana story and great project! Where can I get one of these boxcars - if anywhere? I would gladly support a custom run.

Thanks, gang 👍👍 - just some lipstick on an old pig but quite satisfying. As for other models, I know this scheme was done in HO and N scale. For 3-rail, MTH came out with a RailKing tank car and reefer for 2006, with the most recent in January 2023: mthtrains.com/30-78243mthtrains.com/30-78243 mthtrains.com/30-78016I would imagine there’s some copyright research to do and some Googling, but custom runs should be possible. This project was a decades-old card print added to an even older car, lol. Dave

Your project is infinitely superior to the MTH cars! If I knew about them when they were released I probably did not give them a second look.

I don't know if it was a copyright issue, but the HO and N cars (Atlas maybe?) were in the yellow scheme like my car. Interestingly, after recent posts about mis-spelled decals, take another look at the left side of the MTH 30-78243 car. Dave

There's no excuse for that - I wonder who did, and where, the artwork for this. After all, the same name is on the same side!
