I'm a product of the York era where photos taken inside the halls was verboten, so I don't do it. While photos and phones are allowed in the dealer halls now, I think the rules still state one should not take photos in the member halls. That said, I see people taking photos everywhere.
Did anybody buy anything at York? Now that I would like to see...

Here's an item I picked up at York, a Lionel 1688 Torpedo from the late-1930s: Only the loco acquired at York, the tender I had in inventory. It's from a guy in the Orange Hall that had probably 50 tables of "stuff". Found the 1688 amongst a bunch of prewar locos, this tagged at $20. It was missing its pilot truck...no worries, over to Trainworx where I got a replacement. I've been looking for a decent example to fill a gap in the collection, so this will work out until I can find a better one (there's a small chunk knocked out of the cab under the door/steps). Paint's in relatively good shape, although there's a bit of a scuff on the opposite side above the cab window...might touch it up, might not. I still need a few bits yet, primarily the retaining washer/spring for the pilot truck and a hook for the box-coupler on the 2689TX tender. Cleaned and lubricated, it should be ready to go (but I haven't tried it yet).
