Ouch Here in New Hampshire we have no sales tax. Makes for a lot less coins in your pocket. Things cost $X.99 so you get back one penny. Not plus tax which gives you $.99 change or whatever.
Also, no excise tax and no state income tax Smallest tax bite in the country.
Works for me. 😎 Bill

Question: Where does your sales tax really go? Answer: At the shows, most of it stays in the sellers pocket!

Pays off the Justice System so criminals get off free and only cops and law abiding citizens go to jail.

Yes the property tax is higher than most, but at the end of the year NH takes the smallest tax bite out of its citizens than any other state. I'll take the big picture any time. Bill

Bill Not quite the smallest. NH comes in third lowest, Delaware second lowest, and Alaska the lowest. When we moved from NH to Delaware we saved over $3,000/year in total taxes (Delaware also has no sales tax).

OK, if the numbers prove out, I'll take 3rd, but don't you have excise tax and state income tax? We don't.

We have a small income tax. But our income tax and property taxes combined are less than what we paid in NH for property taxes.
