More buildings for the putz...a simple storefront idea has morphed into an entire city block. Some slow progress: I'm winging this as I go (which typically ends in disaster). A few sides/backs to cut, sidewalks, then I can figure out how big the base will need to be.

The most recent paper project, a block of storefronts, is moving ahead glacially. Made a base today, just so I could get my bearings on positioning and what additional trim will be needed. Having doubts I'll finish this by the wife's planned Christmas gathering.

Thanks, and thanks for the encouragement. Built way too big; I seem to have a tendency to build everything to O-scale (1/48, or something close to it). I should have made this much smaller, as putz-type cardboard houses are maybe HO-scale (or smaller). Too far in now to change it, lol.

Those look great, very similar to those a friend of mine built back when he was modelling British pikes.

What is the Thickness of the CARD STOCK you use for these models. It looks/seems to be almost the thickness of Matting Stock used to Frame Pictures. And where do you source it. I'd really like to give a couple of the models a try.

Unpacked a few Metcalfe buildings I assembled years ago…doing some repairs as I get the layout going again Tom Those are cool - reminds me of the popular Superquick 00 scale range. Dave

I'd really like to give a couple of the models a try. That's exactly what I use, sometimes along with some USPS corrugated (the stuff they make their Priority Mail shipping boxes out of). USPS corrugated is thin and strong, so a good material for these projects. Matt stock I generally purchase at Michael's in large sheets.

This storefront project is grinding ahead glacially; finished making the base and started printing/applying the vellum-paper windows: Usually you apply the window glazing after the glitter, but I'm doing this out of sequence this time due to the size of it and having to make sure all bits fit together. Hopefully I don't slather glue/glitter all over the windows.
