For those who can’t wait until later in July, Atlas is hosting a livestream event on Thursday 6/29 at 1PM EDT for their Summer 2023 catalog. 😊 I checked out the Atlas catalog. Meh not much excitement for O gauge.

Aside from a Trainman boxcar in a few liveries, there was nothing announced for O-Gauge. Lots of goodies in HO and N though, which could be a preview of things to come at some point down the road in O-Gauge.
Oh well… the Lionel catalog is due to be released on July 12 according to an email blast from Mr. Muffin’s Trains — not too long of a wait.

Atlas are still competing with Lionel and MTH in 3rail O scale and are probably being squeezed in a relatively small market. They produce true quality stuff but 3rail is such that this may have limited appeal. Anyway, at this point I personally am only interested in really special items and it's mainly out of curiosity that I look at any catalogs or email shots.

Took an early 5 minute break at work to peruse the new Lionel catalogue.
Phew - what a relief. Train budget has been hit hard this year. Nothing of significance for a Canadian railroader / shopper in this one. Nice looking CP Alco S2 - but same road number as previous iteration (6-82116)

Just got the email with the catalog and got pretty excited about it, nothing really jumped out at the first look through, but I'm sure I'll go over it a few more times.
