The supplies have arrived and work will commence this weekend.
Additionally, the naming committee has made a decision. Borrowing the idea from Brian, the new area will be named for my wonderful wife who not only puts up with my crazy hobbies but also helped me select the buildings for this area at the show this past weekend.
It will be called Martha’s Square.

Now if I stopped over I will bring the MT. diet DEW. No alcohol since 1975.
Good luck with your build and Martha's square is perfect but I would have named it Dave's square but hey that's just me, lol.

I have decided to name the station platform that I am building "Dave's Station" in your honor.

Sanding to help glue stick is an excellent idea! Stocking that idea in my files!

I made some improvements to the Movie Theater yesterday.
Since one of the sides of the building would be very visible to observers, I wanted to make it more interesting. I added some grout lines make it stand out and I added a Bobs Big Boy ghost sign to it. The ghost sign came out a bit sloppier than I was aiming for but since this is supposed to be the remnants of an old poster type sign that was on the side of the building, I think it works well.
I also changed out the moves on the marquee as well as the posters. I went with some of my favorites including Nacho Libre (by daughter and I constantly quote this movie), Mars Attacks, Miracle on 34th Street and Polar Express.

Great project Adam looking good so far. I really like the building selection and the printed platform came out nice as well. Sorry to chime in so late, haven't been online much due to Christmas undercoating.
