The ice cream boxes came with the truck. That makes sense. I don’t recall ever seeing that set before. Nice find. Emile

Santa and his reindeer are catching a little break this year by riding on a flatcar around my Christmas Tree on the Christmas Train Express! Enjoy the ride Santa!

Very interesting layout Scott. The wreath on the Tinplate Loco is a nice touch. Please post more photos.
Also, Where did you find the castle facade behind the Hogwarts Express?

With the exceptions of the Greenbrier Express (At the C&O Heritage Society in Clifton Forge, VA and the Hogwarts. The pictures are of the Tinplate layout I have been building as a part of the Roanoke Valley Model Railroad Club in the basement of the Virginia Museum of Transportation. The Hogwarts is a seasonal kid level display I set up for the museum's O-Gauge layout upstairs. The castle I picked up at the curb that one of my neighbors threw out. We repainted it and set it up. Here are a couple of videos I shot last week of the tinplate layout. I am currently expanding the layout into a second room.

Very impressive! and an unbelievable curb find. It just adds to the backstory of a great layout. Nicely done. Thanks for the videos. Emile

White Christmas Tree with red lights. We liked this photo so much we used it for our Christmas Card this year.

OK, I haven't got the standard evergreen and Rudolph nose red on hand but for some variety how about this: For green, the GE Evo (this is the MTH version) combines lime with something more evergreen. Both Lionel and MTH executed this complicated paint scheme beautifully; in the second photo, note the hand rails and ladder rungs: (P.S. Don't ask me why the PS3 board diagram is there; it relates to another engine that I am double-heading this one with and I can't bear to explain why. Bah, humbug.) For red, in this case of the Painted Desert (or so I like to think), this old "Apache Trail" K-Line box car has pride of place in my display cabinet behind an engine I'll post about another time, hopefully this season:
