Jackson, what do you have in mind for a fire station? In my neighborhood in Baltimore County, the fire company will drive Santa around on one of their trucks a few days before Christmas. Before my son retired as a volunteer firefighter, he drove the truck. Alfred

Hi Alfred I’m not really sure yet. Size constraints on my layout. Our fire department does the same thing here in central Mass. They drive by the house as you said a week or so before Christmas. Small town here, less than 5000 people. Paul

Previous post follow-up - I found my fire trucks in their usual hiding place, the Christmas tree cookie-tin display. Now that the holiday stuff is going back in its corner, I kept the trucks out for the layout. As before, the fire house is a printed mockup for future foamboard mounting. Dave

Firewood, Nice surprise to find the trucks (Any cookies in the tin? What era vehicles? Alfred Yes, there are cookies here and there in the tins - mostly for ballast, not eating - they're way too old. I first thought the trucks had a prewar Chevy look. However, after looking around they look more like British Austin K4 trucks from the mid to late 30s. Dave

What will happen if some of Santa's buildings catch fire? I really have no room for anymore buildings but I do need a fire station!!
Well it looks like I may have build up. Time to hire a architect (me). Builder (me) (financing) me.
