Laz, you gotta luv HERE COME DA JUDGE ads!! My father almost bought one brand new in'68. When he worked at a G.M. a few years later three of his demos were a ' 71 Chevelle SS,(396), a late order LS6 and a '71 heavy Chevy with the 402. Those were fun cars. Even though I was underage he let me drive those beasts. He used to race cars years ago, on the ice as well. Figured he should teach me to drive as we both shared a love of high HP fast and quick cars. When I got a little older I worked for the same dealer and drove everything new that G.M. offered as well as some interesting used cars as well. Old tin is special.
Gary.

A couple of 1957 Ford police cars in Idaho State Police livery keep the peace on my layout. I remember seeing the real ones growing up in Idaho in the fifties.

I like the graphics on those police cars, Vern. Sets them apart. Thanks Brian. I was lucky to find them on eBay awhile back, as they're not easy to get now. Funny how certain items on our layouts can remind us of special people in our lives. An Idaho state policemen who lived in my hometown, befriended me when I was in the 2nd grade and we remained friends until I left Idaho at age 20. I also had a couple of school mates growing up there who became Idaho state policemen. Both are retired now and I was able to have a nice visit with one of them last summer at a high school class reunion. So these two police cars remind me of them.
