Terrific thread. Love to see all of the train related Christmas Tree ornaments.
Ken, you sure have a nice collection of them.

Well, here's a classic Hallmark ornament I've had for years. Well, I have to admit that I was so envious on seeing this that I have tracked one down and ordered it although it won’t be available for this year’s tree: Plus, over many years when searching online for a Lionel Veranda Turbine set, I have mostly got search results of the Hallmark Keepsake Lionel ornaments that were issued some years back. So I succumbed to those too:

While traveling on a trip back home from Kentucky this past March, I decided to make a stop at the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Museum in Warsaw Indiana. I have always wanted to make a stop here but it is little bit out of way for a trip on home, but this time I decided to drive the extra hour and half to get there. Thankfully, I made that decision because as soon as we arrived, we noticed the signs in the Window that they were closing the Museum with in a few weeks. The museum was in Hallmark Store and the owners were retiring after 40 years of being in business. He had over 5000 Keepsake Hallmark Ornaments starting from 1973. Each case was labeled by the year of the Keepsake Ornaments for that year. I was told he was going to try to sell his collection of ornaments as collection rather than breaking it up. While there, I purchase SP passenger car & tender Hallmark train ornaments!
