The grey printed brick pattern is going to be replaced with something more rustic looking but not sure what stone pattern I am going to use.

Coming along very nicely, John. I will be doing something similar to this on one end of my layout, where I removed Standard Gauge shelves and plan to replace them with vertical rock scenery spanned by a long series of curved and straight arch bridges (that are already there). It was always my intent to have that part of the layout be a scenic eye-catcher, but Clarke Dunham had visions of incorporating a display for my Standard Gauge Trains. So I went with his idea, but later regretted it as the arch bridges are too cool NOT to have rugged scenery behind them instead of train shelves. Once I decided to sell my Standard Gauge trains, that made the decision to go back to my original vision even more of a natural "must do".

So the new tunnel area I really like the new Woodland Scenics town water tower and decided to use it as a focal point of the new addition. The tunnel portal will either be hand carved or additional dual tunnel portal will be used. The water tower base platform is foam and can be removed for foot placement for ceiling / vent access if need be. Will have to clean up my " light leaks"

Sounds like a great project. You will have to show us the before and after and how you got there steps... That’s my plan, John. I’ll start a thread and provide updates. Should be a very worthwhile winter project in the coming weeks/months.

Even though they aren’t finished yet these areas look great, John. The removable water tower scene is an excellent idea.
