Hey Guys If this is not appropriate please feel free to delete or edit as needed but in the next OGR magazine Run 309, I got the digital copy, the folks from Corner Field are featured. If you never seen this layout in person this is the next best thing. I'm hoping to get up there before the holidays and will post some photos when I do but the Elesh Family has created a great layout. An amazing amount of work has gone into it and it is truly a family affair putting it on, running it and maintaining it. Tom and his family's mission is to share and introduce folks to O Gauge trains. If you are ever in the area of northeastern Ohio it is a must see! I'll post a link, Corner Field Hobby and Museum , but as of this morning the website was down. A couple of things, and there are many, that make this a great destination is Tom Jr operates the layout but pays attention to where the trains are and where his audience is. When the trains are in the area of a someone watching he triggers the sound systems and such. He really plays the layout like a musician. The best thing is that it is truly a family affair. The article was long overdue and they are just wrapping up a pretty big expansion. Here is a teaser from my last visit...

Great Place - Great People. Tom Jr. runs the show and Ashley (sister) runs the crows nest of activity. Always greet you with a smile. the layout has great attention to detail and reflects their hard work. Tom Sr. and Vickey have put on a great display and it shows in the families hard work. Only thing is you need to eat before you go on a Sunday... just nothing out there open in Amish country.

Very appropriate, Marty. We do our best to promote our O-Gauge hobby and our "open door" policy is in keeping with this mission. Tom, Jr. is a really nice guy.

Thanks Brian Tom and his family are great ambassadors to the O Gauge community for sure! While I didn't think it would be a problem I'd rather ask. They deserve the coverage. If you have a Digital Subscription there are a lot more photos.

You have that correct. Gary. The high road approach usually is the best way to go. This "road" has served us very well in our first 7 weeks of operation. Just look at how well the hobby is embracing the OGF. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

I have been wanting to visit there for a while. It's about a five hour drive. I'm going to bring up a road trip to visit there at the next club meeting.

When the Detroit 3 Railers visited after April York. Tom jr. brought the Big Boy out of the Round House and gave it a run … nice treat.

This a layout I would like to see one day! If I ever get chance to go to York, I would choose to drive since this is one of places I could stop on the way. I have seen many of their videos on YouTube and appears to be fantastic layout.

Eat first and Pee first. No restroom, just pick a spot in the great outdoors.
It is a fun place to visit. Loaded with MTH if that's the brand your into.
S.J.
Since It's already posted I won't delete it. They state that they do have a restroom.

Marty, I have watched their nideos on YouTube. An amazing place. I drool over their roundhouse and all those steam engines that frame it.
