Three sled buses, some with trees atop and nary a one is red. Hopefully Ole Saint Nick has returned to his senses after his long winter’s nap. Maybe there is even a slight hope for reforming you.

"Send this one to Mary Land to assist ole C T."
It's been with Santa for a long time.

Model railroading mimics what's on the rails in a smaller scale. No difference in terms of model vehicles for our layouts. Here is an excellent example. This is a 1956 T Bird, the reakl thing and the same model produced by Brooklin. This model is an excellent representation as to what we have available for our O-Gauge layouts. Here are two of the many NEO/American Excellence 1:43 models that I own, a '53 Packard and a '57 Imperial. Although these diecast cars are not as heavy as the hand-built ones, they are often more detailed, and cost $30.+ less.

Excellent models to present. I particularly like the Chrysler Imperial.
Thanks for the post.

Joe, I mentioned in my post to this thread that I particularly liked the 1957 Chrysler Crown Southampton Imperial. I found these photos of my model of this famous car this morning. The layout photo shows this model on 34th Street.

During the 50's, I greatly admired the use of chrome from Buick and Oldsmobile. I do remember the 57 Chrysler Crown Imperial that Joe featured in his post, but never gave it the design credit it deserves. Probably one of the best looking Chrysler ever made.
Terrific model for you to feature, Joe. Loved your post.

A market that has been pretty much ignored within 1:43 scale is custom re-works of existing models. Many custom prototypes have been done that would make terrific models. Recently I came across this early 50's Buick that the owner converted into a 4-door convertible. Pretty interesting conversion. This is a model begging to be made. I am working on getting it done.

Jim Chromey, CIC Car Show Chairman, announced today the formation of a specialty club within their organization. The new group is called the CIC 50's T Bird Club. The middle 50's T birds are very popular and there are enough model owners to warrant this new group.
Their first planned event is a parade through the City. A call has been placed to Mayor Trustworthy's Office to seek permission for this event.

This needs to be a NABCC event kickoff. Also a brass band and folks carrying a banner announcing who all the fuss is about.
They can be the official judges coming in style to judge the car show. Sure is cheaper than buying more cars.
Don’t forget people lining the sidewalk watching the parade.
And a queen of the parade. You can get that nice lady that is so helpful at Brooklin’s office. She can be in a pink T Bird. C T can be driving the car with Hiz Honor beside him. The nice lady can be sitting in the back waving to the crowd of Yanks.

I do remember the 57 Chrysler Crown Imperial that Joe featured in his post, but never gave it the design credit it deserves. Except it got the nickname "the toilet seat cover" trunk lid.

"Except it got the nickname "the toilet seat cover" trunk lid."
I do remember the nickname, Joe, and always thought it to be very funny as well. Nice model though.
