Lets keep this positive, no problems of political talk please, but I have heard MTH is releasing a Imperial Railking Trump Train SD70ACe #2024 with Caboose.

Loved the video, Walter. I'm all for positive comments, Tom. We do live in a world today where the norm with the growing "cancel culture" is to stop all speech that does not support their position. I bet this MTH offering would not last long with their censorship. MTH has every right to produce the Trump Train # 2024 and we should show what is available from our O-Gauge suppliers. Not doing so would be like an ostrich with it's head in the sand. If you like it, you might buy it. If not, you pass. This is free speech/actions and we should applaud it. If there was a Biden engine, we would show it as well. Not to worry, Tom, our members will be as always respectful. I am pretty sure that we won't have to close this thread because we are NOT AFRAID of our members not being respectful and professional. Isn't it good to have a forum where free speech is allowed. Kind of why we have been so successful.  |

Thanks for pointing it out Tom. I like Pete's Air Force One version much better. I've seen all the TZ episodes too. I remember in the '60s I thought Rod Serling was so cool. Good comments, Brian!! Boy you brought back some great memories with Rod. Last year I bought the whole DVD series of the original Twilight Zone. What an excellent series!! Since the topic of Twilight Zone came up, This is my original post, I inadvertently posted.....my wife and I always watch the New Years day Twilight Zone Marathon and she always kids me about my train layout. She said my layout is like that one Twilight Zone episode where the couple ends up in the town that turns out to be a playroom of a giant little girl...... so will I someday. So as a joke I photoshopped us in scale on my layout as indicated in the red circle in the photo.

The twilight zone is why I didn't get the little miniature UFO from Menards! I have the Trump Train 2020
I got the email from MTH today announcing the new Trump Train 2024 and now I'm in a tizzy. The two locomotives, 2020 and 2024 are a little different so I may buy this on when it comes out. What's making it more difficult is that MTH is also coming out with a New York Central Imperial ES44 or SD70, I don't remember which, in a couple of months. As a die hard NYC fan I would like to get that engine and now this. That's a lot of locomotives to buy in a short time. Oh my, what to do.🤷♂️

Tom, thanks for posting this announcement. I just saw it over on the MTH website as well. I think it's a super idea, and the design is patriotic vs. the Lionel Trump locomotive that is sharp, lower-profile "Air Force One" paint scheme. You can't go wrong with either one. I think I read on MTH's website that they also plan to offer coordinating freight cars with this locomotive/caboose set as well. So there's much happening in MTH-land for a company that didn't publish a catalog this year!!!! Love it.
P.S. I've contacted MTH about possibly doing some Rocky Mountaineer superliner dome cars, that would simulate the real train's Gold Leaf service high-level dome cars. Although not 100% on point with the real Rocky Mountaineer's Gold Leaf cars, they would be darn close. And MTH already has the tooling for their Superliner cars. The worst they could say is "no", but I think it would make a great "last" passenger car offering by MTH -- similar to what they're doing with locomotives and freight rolling stock.
