It should not Include Christmas layouts, floor layouts or rebuilds. just yours, nobody else's.
I myself have built approximately 12 layouts. The biggest being 25x15 and the smallest 5x12. Also 11 O gauge and one HO.

One N Scale, one HO and two O gauge. Workng on my third O gauge. My first O gauge layout was very simple. It was on a 4x8 board with a small extension.

Since the 1970s and in 3 different states: 1 HO scale, 1 N scale, and 3 O scale for a total of 5 layouts.

More planning than building of course, but I'm at 3 actual layouts - one British O scale 2-rail shelf-switcher, a 2' x 9' N scale experiment based on John Allen's early G&D, (that turned me off N scale!) and my present 10' x 13' O gauge 3-rail (in progress). FW

Based on the rules David outlined, my current small but mighty 8x4 O Gauge layout is technically my first. Though I am on the third iteration of it. I got back into the hobby (after a 35 year hiatus) only about 3 years ago.

Three. Two 027 as a kid and the one we are building now.
I would be interested in seeing the number completed.by each member in comparison to built.
We would be 1/3 and that is only because an 8 year old who was moving wanted no more than plywood and a train running around thus it was “complete” when it had to be dismantled.

I am at seven (7). Everyone was fun to build and I learned a great deal in the process.

4 different which include different scales and brand new layouts. Rebuilds would be greater number.

As best as I can remember I've built about 15 layouts over my lifetime. Seven of them were O gauge including my current layout, four were N, two were HO, and two were G. The two G layouts, one in the basement and one a garden RR, were finished, two of the N layouts were finished, one HO layout was finished and three of the O gauge layouts were (and are) finished. When I say finished I mean that there were no bare areas without some kind of scenery, like my current layout. There are many refinements and improvements I can make on my layout but I consider it finished.
The summary is, 15 layouts built and 8 finished.

Three. The first two were O-27, postwar Lionel and were unusual in that they were in NYC apartments. A two level platform 6.5 feet by 11 feet allowed sleeping above and trains below. The third is my current O gauge layout.

I have only built one O gauge layout and still have it, but don't use it much anymore sadly. I belong to a modular group that supports the running of longer, more scale trains.
I also built one HO layout.
